Crochet for Vanya Earthia

Hello ;)
Summer is in full power, yet we can't help but have glimpses of thoughts about winter.
Perhaps, some have traveling plans for the upcoming cold season, or moving plans, or creativity, entertainment or other plans..
And I have been thinking of fall and winter accessories, among others ;))

Rainy Saturday Comeback

Hello, loves!
It has been so many days since I posted anything here.. A year or more!
Good thing, that blogger allows to take time off ;) I have been tempted to write here a few times over the past year, but something kept me off. Partially, I wasn't sure what kind of content to share ;)
I will just write this as a diary, as it never has been really a fashion blog, or style blog..

Weaving Sunday ;)

The weather is awesome, summer is booming, and I'm catching every moment of it with gratitude..
Today is the middle of calendar summer... ;)))
Since Games of Thrones has ended for the time being, I decided it's nice to see another costume/era series, and now I'm watching Boardwalk Empire ;)
Wove my growing dreadies into this up-do ;)
If you have dreadlocks, it's a very easy and beautiful way to lift your hair up off the neck - you start at any side (it is right side for me), and, lifting the locks up start folding and wrapping them inside, creating a rolled tube, which will continue, as you don't stop, but keep including all the dreads, going around your head, until you reached the opposite side of your head. There, collect and twist together all the remaining locks and fold them up and inside the roll - you'll figure it out, as you go. Longer dreadlocks won't need more than a couple of pins, but shorter ones like mine will need some more ;)
Also, you can pin a large flower or a beautiful broach ;)
Scarf #1

Extra long tattered rugged braid scarf made of recycled knits (wool, cashmere) turquoise, pink, blue, lavender, beige, gray, white by Earthia

At the ends, I tied a piece of lace around one, and a strip of recycled upcycled shearling inside out on the other end; to keep the braid together.
Scarf #2
Extra-extra long tattered rugged braid scarf made of recycled knits (wool, cashmere, wool blend); has two ties on the ends, made of upcycled recycled leather. Dark browns, greys, greens, pinks, blues, turquoise and other pretty colors, by Earthia

At the ends I used stripes of recycled upcycled leather to hold together braid's ends.
Much more multi-colored than the first scarf, and almost twice as long - 10.5 feet of ruggedness ;)))

I love how the braid starts off with dark browns, turquoise and dark grey and gradually becomes a blend of very light colors, mostly - beiges, grays, and nudish colors..;)

Sunny Side Out

Sunny day, sunny soul! ;) Seriously, you know you store the sun inside, when it's cloudy, don't you? ;)
Today i want to share pictures of beautiful people and their dreadlocks.
As my growing naturally dreadlocks are becoming more loopy and crazy, and fat, I'm on the lookout for curious styles to experiment with and have fun! Although, i must add, they are becoming shorter and shorter ;)))
Strangely, i wish they never become smooth and even, some craziness and messiness would be so awesome, at all times ;)
Did I mention, that I am making a whole line of accessories dedicated to adorn locks?
Dreaded hair, or not - it is for us to play with, well, or the wind ;))))
The best care I could take of my hair is growing dreadlocks for sure!
♡♡♡

To Bead or not to Bead? That's not a question! ;)

Before I started to dread my full head, I loved decorating the few dreads that i already had, wrapping them with colorful yarn, putting in feathers, crystal beads, cords and ribbons, and braiding in little pretty ribbons into loose hair as well. I have been approached by girls and even guys, admiring the style, more than once. So...
I found this video (via http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/how-to-wrap-a-dread) of a girl, showing and explaining how to decorate your locks.. I can tell you, that you don't have to have dreadlocks to decorate your hair, you can wrap sections of your hair with whatever suits your style - strips of leather, cords with beads or anything dangling on the ends, etc. or/and make one or more braids of various sizes, and play with that.. - it's really fun! ;)
So here's the video of this beautiful creature, who took time to record it for us, she's really sweet! ;)
Thank you ;)

Dreadlocks!!!

Found some great tips on how to maintain your dreadlocks, if you got'em! ;) The essential oils are good for anyone, added in proper amounts (research is your friend), but with dreads, it's important to be very gentle and loving, they're alive, you know! ;)
Thank you for putting it together goes to Soaring Eagle and Arden Rayne
